our hunch was right on. it was a good summer.

one of the very best parts was Sylas turning two. TWO IS AWESOME!

we also held an alligator and a parrot. 

and walked the Tillikum Bridge. 

so many adventures. 

and finally, Sylas started school. pre-school. but still.

BERRIES WITH FRIENDS! so fun. everyone wins with an adventure like that, and it turns out that it's impossible to eat too many strawberries.

Train treats from Nonny were a hit, as was brunch with Yaya.

Little ham biscuit has a mustache.

Summer is here in full force and we're soaking up every second, hiking...

and Dairy Queening...

and hammocking...

and CANOEING!!

Babies + Boats  = Best.

Beer dinners are a blast too, particularly this one G had with Firestone-Walker.

Bees + Babies = Worst.

Luckily a lovely neighbor had Benadryl and post popsicle S was back in action. 


We took the scenic route to Clear Lake near Sister's last weekend, and it turned out to be a cabin-ing trip for the ages. Everyone had a blast, and we were left revved and ready for another excursion into nature.

it's going to be a good summer.
