Christmas was really fun. we went on a long hike in the Gorge on Christmas Eve...

and then had everyone over the next day to celebrate Christmas. we don't have any pictures of that happening, except this one of Santa.

It's been a very busy week. we discovered The Box.

 

and we got a high chair. 

we also crammed in our last hike of 2013. the drive out was pretty fun...

the hike was pretty terrific...

and the foot spa at the end was spectacular. 

on second thought, 2013 was pretty spectacular, and we can't wait to see what 2014 has in store.

thanksgiving was terrific. simple, sweet, and so much to be thankful for. the best holiday of them all!

there just seems to be piles of babies everywhere...

babies reading...

babies bouncing...

and talking...

  

It was sooooooo cold, we had to break out the Alaska gear this month...

and after a little hat shopping, we found this gem. 

we hung up some christmas lights, which was a big hit...

but just lounging makes someone a little grouchy

because this boy loves to adventure...

and who doesn't love happy hour?

he's the best baby boy there is.
