it was love at first sight...

so we jumped right in and started to get to know each other...

and started to mingle with his cous-twin Quinn, who was born 26 hours earlier in the same hospital room, which makes for a baby bonanza around these parts.

Soon we stepped out for our first adventure, Larch Mountain at sunset...

followed soon after by an afternoon on the west side...

but mostly we just hung out at home...

and loved that this was happening...

so much that we decided to take it on the road. We headed to Mount Adams to see what a nice long trek would be like. Wow. Derek's air conditioner wheezed out half way up, and we spend the rest of the trip on pins and needles that we'd be stranded in the wilderness, panicked that bringing a newborn on an eight-hour trek was madness. But then we made it. And it was rad.

We started learning to play hard, then lounge hard...after a bath of course.

And then the moment we'd all been waiting for: Grammy landed! We showed off the babies, and she jumped right into the mix.

And we just continued goofing around...
